It's that time again when I bore you all silly with facts and figures !

Some directly about the forum itself:

    • There have now been over 860,000 posts made in 57,000 topics with an additional 22,000 PMs being sent !
    • The topics have been viewed an incredible 18,000,000 times !!

How long till we get to the magical 1 million post mark? Maybe we should have a competition to predict the date / time and a prize for the winner ? (or god-forbid something for 1millionth post !)

Since we migrated to a new server and have much more capacity at our disposal, I've taken off the blocking on the search engines indexing the site. That's right, I actually needed to stop people coming to the site ! Now that's changed

People are now finding the site again (esp. on Google) and we've shot up the rankings:

    (see graph below)

    Traffic rank:

    Today1 wk. Avg.3 mos. Avg.3 mos. Change
    19,45319,87678,443

    Reach for jehovahs-witness.com :

    Reach per million users:

    Today1 wk. Avg.3 mos. Avg.3 mos. Change
    2523.56.7

    Reach rank:

    Today1 wk. Avg.3 mos. Avg.3 mos. Change
    47,62551,320146,331

    Page Views for jehovahs-witness.com :

    Page Views per user:

    Today1 wk. Avg.3 mos. Avg.3 mos. Change
    28.228.121.3

    Page Views rank:

    Today1 wk. Avg.3 mos. Avg.3 mos. Change
    9,0379,08533,841

I expect these figures will improve as the site is still being indexed by google.

Incidentally, you can search the site from Google by adding "site:jehovahs-witness.com" to the search (eg. "United Nations site:jehovahs-witness.com" to get United Nations info)

So, despite some claims made to the contrary, we're certainly not dying or fading away - we're bigger and better than ever and "in your face WTS!".

(we now just pip them on the stats - they get more unique visitors but on average then only look at a few pages whereas people actually read and use our site)

    Simon,

Perhaps I ought to start a thread involving myself, TJ, Refiners, Alanf and JCanon. We could add 140,00 posts in around three days.

Not bad, HS, but I think to spice it up a bit you should include Simon and Yerusalyim...oh and a bit o' Little Toe / AGuest / in fact all the

"BAs" on the Forum, to balance out the AlanF no-nonsense-why-can't-you-see-the-logic-and-reasoning-behind-my-argument factor.

Valis - I didn't notice Hillary mis-spelling "things"! Never heard of "mispelling", though. Hehehe

how many new users do we get per day?

Damn ... I nearly had to get my SQL book out for that one !

    Anything from 250 to 370 a month so I'd guess about 10 a day?

I really need to improve the registration process as some people have trouble logging on (trying to use the alias as their username like the old accouts whereas new ones use the email address). I'll try and make it a bit friendlier and should really include some instructions in the 'welcome' email (instead of essentially "here's your account .. get on with it")

That Jerhoobarb sure has blessed us.

*LOL* shut up Spanner... Can't you see I was trying to bait hillary AGAIN?

Simon, I know that at some level, this information is needed and enjoyable and encouraging. However, today, I connected to it at my former "Borg" level, and of course, the me that is now, was cynical and derisively laughing at the structure your post exhibted! Why? It was formatted very much like the old KM information on the Organization!!! Was this done on purpose or was it entirely subconscious?

    Terri

P.S. I love the "Jehover" that the District Overbeer, Valis, posted. I had a study conductor who was from Washington State who always pronounced it "Jehover"
