    ***the mole*** i told many of you i recieved a letter from Ray Franz regarding my situation with my family and my kingdom hall. His kindness and compassion found the time to write me and uplift me, this should help tinkerbell82 also....-----Ray wrote, " As for what you will do in your present situation, that is something you must work out with God's help and the guidance of his spirit. One must make decisions as to what conscience can allow, what good can be accomplished. The sad fact is that the Witness organization stongly resembles a police state and that any statement that does not conform completely to organizational dogma and policy can result in others acting as police informers, reporting on what one may have said in personal, private conversations with others. Word thus reaches the elders or the branch office and the individual is suddenly in jeopoardy, faced with judicial hearings. The warmth and friendliness and consideration that should characterize relationships and which should motivate against such unkindness toward another are often sadly lacking. So, it is well to keep in mind the reality of the situation and be mentally and emotionally and spiritually prepared for what may result...The journey inevitably contains chanllenge, but we can find encouragement in knowing that we are moving on, making at least some progress, and can feel confident that what is ahead can be fulfilling. One may think of God's words to Israel, when he said: "for surely I know the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)...take care and dont fear your journey"....Ray Franz**********************was that just beautiful....i hope all of you enjoyed this as much as i did. it gave me the courage to keep fighting the injustice and make a stand......***the mole***

    Thanks for sharing that, mole. There is a unique quality to his words that is seldom seen anyplace else. It will be a very sad day when that man leaves this place. A tremendous human being.

    "The Witness organization strongly resembles a police state"........WHEW!!! Now that's a POWERFUL statement. So true...You just can't express yourself without WORRYING what the elders will say if they hear about it.

    I agree with minimus, that statement is extremely powerful. I sat there myself and read that and said WOW!

    Never thought of the WTS that way exactly, but so true. The Watchtower is a scary place.

    Thanks for sharing Ray's comments. As always, Ray's insight and counsel is "right on the mark." He has left us a valuable legacy in this two books that will continue long after he leaves. His courage and faith will endure.

    Thanks for sharing... He is a great man... He heard one of his old congregation had been DF ( unfairly) & got some-one to drive him 8 hours to make sure she was O.K. in a seniors home!!!!

    She was so encouraged by that- she is well over 80....Cynthia is a great helper to him also...A great couple ...

    thanks for sharing with this board the comments from Ray Franz.

    Besides the exortative, encouraging remarks at the conclusion,

    I have to admit that the following comment is ...painfully true:

    Yet the might WTBS Inc. speaks, publish word concerning

    'individual human rights' and the ...so much publicized

    'freedom of expression, ideas and opinions ' !

    That's a nice quote, and very true from a man who first-hand experienced what a 'police state' the jw org is.
