Termite. That is terrible. We were the victims of a rear-ender, some years ago. All I can say is thank goodness for seat belts and baby carriers.
And a word of caution. It wasn't until 3 - 4 days after the collision, that we really started to feel the full effects of the bruising and swelling.
Take Care

I hope you're feeling better soon.
I also hope the other driver was insured, and that your insurance company will set you up with a rental car at HIS expense. You can't be expected to just put your life on hold ntil a new car comes along.

I am glad you are OK, F--k the car. It's a machine, I own a bunch of them and they can be replaced. You can't. If the guy hit you, you should be taken care of , call a scum bag lawyer, ( I know scum bag lawyer is redundant, I just like the way its sounds). Don't let the other guys insurance people push you around! Maverick

I hope you're ok Termite! You may find you get whiplash the following morning, don't be suprised. The injured muscles don't react from the stretching and start to bruise until after. And when it does, make sure you get a doctors report and claim every penny, thats what the insurance is for. Typical payout for temporary whiplash is 4000 - 5000 pounds.
I have had whiplash for several months, but I signed my life away to an entertainments company first then spent the afternoon jumping in a river from 40 ft cliffs.
