I had an interview today and was asked a question O have gotten in the past: What are you most passionate about? It was a struggle to come up with an answer on this one. As a JW, the things I was passionate about were chosen for me. It’s alarming that I still am working on finding my answer to this.

That’s a tough one. I have no idea because having a passion was “seeking great things for yourself..” and “doing everything with all your power...”, meant JW prescribed activities.

I’ve never followed one dream, or pursued any talent to any level, save one, and its a physical talent which is a perishable skill.

Raised in an environment where “Self” is the villain, and learned helplessness the hero, it’s no wonder that dreams were just that...no goals to be found...

I have no idea what my passion is, or if I ever will...

One wonders how they would have answered that question before 50 years of JW doctrination that changed their brain!

Analyzing the grammatical and syntactical elements of the English language and implementing that knowledge into editing the work of other writers. The challenge, of course, is my not permitting the technical aspects of so-called correct writing to supplant the author's voice.

When reading for pleasure, I struggle to derive the sense of the writer's message, his beautifully crafted expression, and not bog myself down in mentally "diagramming" his every sentence.

The physical things I loved doing are on the wane -- hours daily playing the piano or painting at the easel or digging in the garden -- but my brain still works.

    Well, so far . . .

Yeah, this question is a mind fuck. My wife and I are struggling right now to figure those things out, to figure out who we are in ways. Heck, we were talking earlier about how neither of us has a style when it comes to how we dress. I have no clue how to look cool and all of her clothes are based on being "modest". They told us what to like (cult activities), kept us from influences and experiences that others have growing up the help shape them, ugh, just fuck them all. I soooo wish I never heard the name Jehovah.

Good question. For me it is sustainable gardening using permaculture techniques. Teaching and demonstrating in our local area how important it is to have clean chemical free food for us to comsume and how our present food system is causing many health problems in our society. I had this passion when I was in the Borg but unable to devote much time to it. Now I am able to study and work on this subject as much as I want to. I hope in the very near future I will be able to post some pictures on what we are doing. Still Totally ADD

I have no clue. I hate those kinds of questions. Same as what are your weaknesses? My weaknesses are chocolate and coffee. Oh and I am terrible at interviews.
