My first pioneer car was an old Chevrolet Impala than my dad inherited for my Grandfather. Granddad was a farmer, so the car had had all kinds of animals and supplies in it and it smelled pretty ripe. It also had an accelerator pedal that would stick when you got to a certain point on it and so would suddenly just take off like a bat out of hades. We called it Myrtle the Turtle. I totalled it one night coming home from a Valdosta High Football game. aaah, the memories.
