My husband and I were bikers in our single days. Wear a helmet, Gadget. It's not like you need to feel your hair blow in the wind. It would be a challenge for us to ride in the left lane though.

Cool bike, Gadget!
That is a chick magnet!
Nice bike Gadget ... be carful though - there are a lot of dumb careless car drivers out there.
Dang ... I wish I had a bike.
Yes Simon, the google add a minute ago before it changed said "save endangered wildlife" LOL
...whereas i'm off work and can post all day....
Hmm. Your just trying to make me jealose now aren't you. We'll see.....

I find it a challange to stay in the left lane too with how slow all the cars go. And we have to wear a helmet here, and my leathers have lots of body armour. Strangely, I actually feel safer riding a bike then driving a car.
nice bike man...but will you please tell all the other crotch rockets out there that I won't humiliate myself and race them? *LOL* They come up and bait me all the time...nice bike mang!
Simon, maybe Ang will be good to you at XMAS time..
Sincerely,
District Overbeer

When I had a nc30 Nobody would race me on the twisty roads, only on the straight. People like that only want to challange people who they think are slower than them. Must be an inferiority complex. I like nice clear roads so I can go point-to-point instead of racing others.

I was just about to say the same thing. Know why I quit riding? Because one day you're gonna be out there enjoying your bike and there's gonna be this dumbass soccer mom (or whatever the equivalent British term is) barrelling down the road in her Ford Excursion (or British SUV) yakking away on her cell phone and she's never going to see you until it's too late.
I never got into the crotch rockets too much. Just not comfortable IMO. I always preferred bikes I could lean back a little on. My favorite was my '76 Honda CB750-E. The "E" designation was for extended forks. I put some "ape-hangers" on, re-geared it for top end, threw on some highway pegs, and loved the hell out of that baby! I took it up to 140 one night just to see what it was like. Pretty cool.
The last bike I had was in '99. I bought an '86 Suzuki Intruder 800. I have a lot of fondness for the Intruders. I think that's when the Japanese really started to get their styling right, especially when it comes to seat height. They must have finally realized that we're not nearly as tall as they previously thought.
Hey has anyone seen this concept motorcycle that Daimler-Chrysler came up with? 500hp and capable of 300mph. Now if that went into production, I may have to take up riding again!
Mike.
I find the bikes comfortable. Mind you, I'm fairly short so while other people will be sitting crunched up I can just sit comfortably. I remember reading something about that bike, but did they not have problems with the steering so it effectively for straightlines only? Triumph were going to build a new spots bike that would top 200mph, and be the fastest production bike ever, but just this week cancelled it. It had been due to be launched soon too.
Just got my new bike! I ended up buying a 2001 CB500, I looks brand new! I've just taken it past 3000 miles bringing it home. I'm not used to such a fast bike, quite glad I didn't go for that 600f I was looking at.
