As far as I am informed, saying the pledge was not compulsory, only voluntary. So those who object can sit it out.
I agree with the previous post, how far will this go? Will the courts be censoring all that is taught or spoken in schools to insure it doesn't offend anyone? Of course, wouldn't the subsequent bland and sparce curriculum be offensive to some also? Someone will always be offended. So, one must draw the line somewhere. Hopefully this trend to ultra-sensitivity will stall out in the near future.
