I guess every JW has a different conscience on the matter, and I don't believe any JW publications have ever specifically mentioned nudity in film as being off limits. Of course genitals are out of the question because that's usually relegated to R movies which most good JWs don't view. Female toplessness is condoned but not spoken about, as most JWs I know have seen Titanic and many own it. One family would send the kids out of the room when it came time for that scene. Many JWs seem to be okay with butts in a comedic context, but some say even that's off limits. What JW opinions have you encountered? Do rating systems in other countries come into play, for instance a US rated R movie that gets a lower rating elsewhere?

Here in Texas, JWs seem to tow the same line as most conservative Christians. No Rs, PG13s majority ok, PG most always ok, G no problem.
From my experience, the JWs in the UK and the Netherlands have a much better view of movie viewing choices. The US always seems to be puritanical about sex and inconsistent about their supposed hatred of violence.
I do have some Special Pioneer friends in Central America, and they watch EVERYTHING, pirated of course.

Remember that scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid where Sundance comes back to his woman after their escape by jumping off that cliff and initially you don’t know that she is his woman until he is part way through undressing her. Well I know a couple who walked out of the cinema in disgust when that scene came. I think almost everyone else in the congregation saw that film and loved it. So it would seem there has always been a big difference in what people deem suitable viewing. Mind you, I think this couple were just trying to prove they were super righteous, and secretly loved it.

In my mums house everything above was banned. Including ass shots for comedic purposes, breastfeeding women on medical documentaries and even animals mating.
She took my younger brother out of sex ed in school so he didn’t know what a naked woman even looked like until he was 30!
I got my sex education through porn. Bad that innit?

Are you sure he didn't know what a naked women looked like until he was 30, even the pompous elders that will counsel you and tell it's a sin to shoot one off every now and then knew what a naked women looked like well before they were 30

Wont go into too much detail, but he didn't know what a vagina looked like. He thought it was like a belly button under the torso exactly in the middle.
