Optical Illusions, Anyone?

    I love optical illusions,

    but their hard on my eyes.

    Ever seen the book Magic Eye? It uses "Salitsky Dot" computer image-rendering (also known as Single Image Random Dot Stereograms)...really really weird.

    One method (works the best for me) is to put my nose right up tight on the image, relax my vision (like 'looking off into infinity'), and slowly move the page away from my face. It took a few tries, but all-of-a-sudden 3D images would appear...a seemingly random pattern of dots would suddenly look like fish in an aquarium!

    Sorta like reading posts on JWD. LOLOLOL

    Nice one Scully. I hadn't seen that one before. I just think of that type of optical illusion as really old fashioned animation

    onacruse I have 2 of those Magic eye books. They are a blast. I use the same method you do.
