    Hello Friends...

I was wondering if you all could help me with my Disassosiation Letter... I am planning on writing it tonight, and am looking for scriptures based on "love"... and how the org shows a lack thereof.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

In case you missed the thread, it is here:http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/59152/1.ashx

I am going to be pretty busy for the next little while, and need a break anyways (check out my posting history, LOL!)... just so's in case you don't hear from me in the next little bit, don't worry.

the shorter the better. they will not read it with opened eyes and grasp the real meaning of what you tell them.

mine was basically, i no longer concider myself one of the joho's or any part of their organization under whatever name they call themselves under.

one sentence is all you need.

don't stress yourself out over it.

short sweet simple and get the job done. its very effective.

If I ever wrote a DA letter, it would consist of only two words.... or even better, only two letters.... the sixth letters from the start and end of the alphabet, in that order.

Sorry, I'm not helping much. Good luck Shamus!! I assume you're doing this for closure...and I hope that it helps you achieve that.

I agree that a short letter is best, no longer than one page in length, with at least one inch margins on all sides, and short paragraphs. Such letters are more likely to be read before filed or tossed.

Remember Blondie's advice, "pearls before swine". The people receiving this letter will likely not treat it with the respect it deserves. So, though it may be written with great heart, don't expect it to achive much impact on the organization. You might want two letters, one you send (short) and one you write for yourself (pour out your heart).

Here are some scriptures on love: Matthew 25:37-40, Galatians 5:22-23, I Corinthians 13:3, Jude 1:12 . For full quotes, you might like http://bible.gospelcom.net .

How about something like this? "Due to the lack of love, lies and unchristian behavior of the JW leadership, I can no longer allow myself to share their blood guilt. I renounce JW's as dupes of Satan and disfellowship all who serve this false god!" Maverick That should fry a few brain cells!

I am not stressing over it, believe me.

Confuse them. Say, I am temporarily withdrawing my membership until such time as Christian love is given the highest priority within this organization. I will let you know when I am a member again.

    shamus,

what about this - due to a failure of the wt society to live up to MY high standards of love, compassion and honesty, I can no longer in a good conscience be associated with jehovah`s witnesses.my hand of friendship is however still extended to honest hearted ones who wish to remain my friends and hear true reasons for my leaving.

    just a thought.

take care and all the best to you.

I would seriously think twice about writing a formal letter of disassociation.

You will no longer be allowed to carry the microphones.

    Rub a Dub,

WHAT??? I can't carry microphones???? Aw shit! The letter is already in the mail, LOL!

I like the idea of confusing them... I think that I may do that...
