I'm so pleased to read of your excursion to Harrison Hot Springs.
Makes me think of "Little Manitou Lake" in Saskatchewan. I was there in 1992.
I loved it.
I was alone mind you, but you had someone there to help you make bath bubbles.

We are both independent souls, and besides ... I think the romance of it all stays around longer when we maintain our separate residences. Ahhhh, the romance!both such romantic souls!!!

Yes, I too have been to Manitou Beach...never visited the Hot springs, though. I've danced there on the horse hair (no kidding) sprung hardwood floor. It is the most amazing wonderful romantic place imaginable to dance!!! (In a previous life, of course) Maybe one day John & I will dance there. We are already making plans to spend Christmas in Winnipeg, visiting his sister. We will also be travelling a bit north to Selkirk, Manitoba to visit some of my brothers who are not of the dub variety.

Like I was saying ... we get to choose our life now, and our happiness...and our goals and dreams. There is no one telling us to "stifle" ourselves any more! We get to live our dreams now on the outside of dubland!!!
Soooo ... DREAM BIG!!!!!!
And keep us posted!!!! I want to hear all the happy stories of us coming out of dubland and into "ourselves" and our dreams!!!

ahh. Thanks. When I read your comments about chosing life and living our dreams, that so describes how I feel right now. For the first time in my life I can do something because it feels good and no one can tell me I can't. It is like the stuff story books are made of. We can really be happy and enjoy life. I feel bad that this wonderful man has to deal with all my baggage of leaving all this behind and all the harassment I have been receiving regarding leaving the life. But he is really there for me and all of that can just go by the way side because he is there for me while I go through it. As much as it is hard being with a JW when you are not, there even comes weight with it, for those who have it in their past and only one who is truly special can deal with it. (especially if one is just coming out which I am). I have to share with you what he wrote me today regarding it all (since you said share. thank you)
When I see you. I see a young woman who has been through some of the fires of life. Like all fires. It has burned you. But, for you, and for me, and for some others as well, this life-fire has not destroyed you. It has transformed you. Like a Phoenix you have risen from the ashes of your former life into a form of light and beauty and even a source of power to help others.
Isn't he wonderful? I was like, wow. I could live on that (and some of the other things he said for a yr). I'm sorry. I don't want to take any limelight away from you. This is your thread and it is so wonderful that you have John and your independent romantic souls to enhance life and each other and share some sunshine with all of us. THANK YOU!
