    Wohoo !!

    Just saw this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/notice-passmark.html

Revised Pass Mark for Skilled Worker Applicants

On September 18, 2003 Citizenship and Immigration Canada announced that the pass mark for those applying to immigrate to Canada as skilled workers (to all provinces except Quebec), has changed from 75 to 67. This change is effective immediately.

This means that I won't have to get arranged employment (though I would still rather do this) and don't have to dust off my school textbooks to try and learn French to gain a few points ... we will now qualify !!

... we just have to pay off our debts, save up, get work, find somewhere to live, organise schools etc ...

Still, I was starting to think we'd probably never make it but a ray of light just burst through !

    Simon,

Thank god you don't have to learn french. It's difficult... also, swears in francais are different from out swears. When we say the F-word, that is not a swear in french. A swear in french is saying things like tabernacle (french = tabernac), caw-liss (I believe this is the wafer that they give to you in church), etc. etc. etc.

Say un modzit bun biere... there's a good one.

Anyhoo, congrats! I hope to see you soon in the great white north.

Why don't you pay your debts down by not going to Florida, LOL! (No, go to Florida... get some sun!)

If you're going to teach Simon to swear in Québecois-French, please do it properly!!

"caw-lise" as it's pronounced, refers to the "chalice".
"sakraman" (sacrement), well, refers to the "holy sacrements".
    "tabarnak" refers to the "tabernacle".
    "mo-dee" (maudit) = "curse"
and last but not least, "colline de bin", which refers to a "hill of beans".

Canadian Apostates are also working hard to get the following JW-related terms bastardized into common every day vernacular swearage use:

    Georgetown Bethel
    Regular Pioneer
    How-Little
    Salle de Royaume

    Simon,

Yes, but remember any score above 27 qualifies you to replace any Canadian politician including the Prime Minister. Any score above 30 entitles you to describe yourself as a champion of industry, or a Judge.

Remember to duct 22 points if you cannot speak French. You are then qualified to become an honory Asian and buy all the high-rises in Vancouver...lol
