Whenever you read the Society's publications regarding "apostates" and those that simply leave the organization, you will see how the Watchtower will try to make such ones HORRIBLE persons. They are said to be "rotten, like gangrene, those going back to their vomit". They are said to re-adopt all of Babylon the Great's terrible practices. They go back to the pagan holidays, the ways of the sinful world, etc. Do YOU consider yourself one of those that the "faithful slave" says has "gone back to their vomit"?
Now That You've Left The Organization, Are You "Going Back To The Vomit?"

I was born into the bOrg... After I puked them out, I would NEVER return to my vomit.

If a left where I am now, and went back to the Watchtower I'd be going back to the "vomit."

Part of me thought about going wild after being restrained for so many years (like all my life cept maybe 2 months). Never a date for the prom, never a date for a movie. Nothing. So part of me felt like I guess just going out there and dating a ton of men and making up for the fun I never had. The only thing I knew that can get old too. And with it can come some repurcussions if one does not play it safe. So against my rebellous nature that wanted to come out to play after being restrained for so long, I chose to restrain myself and use forthought. I chose to use my head. As far as holidays and the like, well, I need to rethink all of that. Are they truly pagan or just in the eyes of JWs. There in lies the question. Whose definition do we base this on? Those are some things I guess I need to figure out.

Actually, I feel I have left the vomit of malicious gossip, pretending to be what you are not (UN affiliation), and the protecting of child abusers. If I were to fulfill that statement, I would have to return to the vomit of the KH.

Are you having doubts minimus, about just how "far" you want to go against what you have been taught?

No doubts here! It simply struck me that the Watchtower Society tries to demonize everyone that doesn't support them. When the holidays come around, you'll hear snide remarks of Witnesses toward others they have stopped going. "They're probably going to get a Christmas tree next!". They try to deride everyone that stops supporting them.

You know, I don't refute some of their teachings, just alot of them. I think if its okay to wear a wedding ring, its okay to dress in white, wear a veil and have bridesmaids at a wedding, I think then its okay for me to chose the old "pagan" customs that are okay for me. You just can't pick and choose. I mean they are the ones who talk about a drop of poison in the pure water...........
