Thanks much to Big Tex and my phone wife for a great evening. It was a pleasure meeting up with all my regular peeps and to meet calamityjane and badger. I encourage all of you to meet whenever the opportunity comes around. There is nothing better than seeing good people togther, talking, listening to the ZOLOFT song, and sharing not just stories, but their lives with one another. Thanks again and please do have a good time at Cattleman's tonight!

A fun time was had by everyone! Yes, Sheila, I FINALLY gave Valis his novel -- only took me four months . . . . Breakfast this morning was lovely -- hot donuts, hot coffee, hot -- well, never mind. Anyway, we're having a great time with Calamityjane! We're having Tex Mex for lunch while watching the Cowboys game -- had a margarita while we waited for the to-go order (yum!). After lunch I'm taking her to Southfork and our local outlet mall for some serious shopping. Then it will be off to Las Colinas to pick up XJW and head to the Stockyards for dinner!
We locked up Ladybug in her crate last night so she wouldn't disturb Valis by trying to give him a face bath at 2:00 a.m., so she paid us back by whining and keeping him awake. Dexter, alas, took over face-bathing duties, which didn't help. And then there was the not quite shut front door which banged open at some point during the night with a gust of wind, thereby convincing the D.O. that there were jumbies about. I don't think he's going to believe any tales of "peaceful life in the suburbs" after last night!

Supper at the Cattlemen's Steak House was great, although after supper I wasn't too sure that we were going to make it out of the parking lot alive. There were a bunch of mexicans that invaded this parking lot that Chris had parked in, a little too much of an adrenaline rush for me. We made it to the car, and got the hell out of there.
I need to get some sleep now, as Arrowstar wants to introduce me to some awesome shopping on Monday.

Nice to meet DFWnonJW, Elsewhere, Arrowstar, Navigator, Jade and her lover husband Magadude, and Badger. Had a great time. Something we thought we'd never have the chance to do, but things worked out great.
