Sentinel

A very fast growing cancer, often undetected. Seen as an unusual place on the skin, that behaves differently than other sores. Often mistaken for a mole.

A friend at work, had two of his relatives (in their twenties) die after finally being diagnosed. Seems what is seen on the outside, is nothing compared to what the cancer has already done "inside". If caught early enough, and totally removed in early stages, the prognosis can be more hopeful. This friend of mine, has already been operated on once for this. Seems it truly is an unfortunate genetic strand in his heritage. But, he seems to be doing fine, with regular check-ups.

Hopefully, this will give you a bit of encouragement. So sorry you have to face such a terrible thing.
