The first Matrix is okay; the second one didn't impress me. My friend more or less conned me into watching both of them.

The plot of the second on seemed to make little sense. I think the whole point of the movie is just to show off Neo's super powers and use special effects, and smoke and mirrors to impress people.

For one thing, Trinity and an agent start off falling from a building shooting at each other, yet they miss constantly. Now, unless they have awful aim, this part is ridiculous. They are at point blank rage. They are in the middle of free fall. It doesn't show either party dodging bullets. Why all the mis-fires?

Another thing someone else brought up from another forum: The movie mentions the sentinals are about to invade Zion, yet very little of the movie actually deals with this issue.

But that's just me. If you enjoy the series, then have fun.

In the Revolutions trailer, one scene shows the "scorched" sky, but then all of the sudden they show a clear blue sky with the moon visible. I'm dying to find out what that is all about.

I loved both Matrix movies. I got the dvd to both. I think the crux of Matrix Reloaded was in the diaglogue between the architect and Neo. Mostly the stuff the architect said. I still don't understand everything he said, but he seemed to set up a few questions to be answered in the last movie. Personally, I love a movie that I can't understand the first time through. Most movies have plots that are so boring that I can predict what's going to happen after watching 10-30 minutes of the movie. And no one asks questions about existence. Its always "this character is good and this character is bad and of course the good guy will get the bad guy in the end and fall in love with this character and the reason is simply that's the way it should be." The Matrix has good characters and bad characters too, but there is the question of is that really the way it is. And also, however things are and whatever we are, why are we who we are? Then there's the question of fate and/or control. Very few movies ask such questions.

I don't like crowded theaters, but I might try to go to an early showtime this weekend.
