Jehovah's Witnesses, is there Life after Death?

The Jehovah's Witnesses claim that at death you cease to exist... however, what if they have been taught wrong? What if the bible explains that there is life immediately after death? What if more than 8 people in scripture from Old Testament to New experienced, acknowledged or taught that there was life straight after death? Could it be said that the Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong and that God's word provides vast evidence to support this teaching?

Since you don't allow questions on YouTube, I'll ask one here;

At 41 mins36 secs, (referring to No.8 above) you put Revelation 6:9, 10 up on the screen and read it out. It says, "I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God."

But in your next statement you change the location to heaven. Why are you mimicking the Jehovah's Witnesses by adding words to scriptures to create a different meaning? Heaven is not mentioned in the verses you used.

When you assume something, you make an ass of u and me.

Of course the Bible promises life (immediately) after death as well as Resurrection too, after a while

In my honest Opinion, all these life after death conspiracy theories are:

To console oneself with the fear of everlasting non-Existence after death
To lure others with this magical thinking and Exploit them.

Hence, Whatever sources you refer regarding Life after death, I consider it all the same.

Just point to one (Tangible) evidence of Life after death, I will reconsider my belief.

All that was being seen by John was taking place in heaven.

Instead of questioning #8, you should instead question #6. Paul did not believe that he went to heaven upon death, he states that it occurs at the last trumpet upon Jesus’ coming.

[1 Corinthians 15:51 Look! I tell YOU a sacred secret: We shall not all fall asleep in death, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed.]

Was it really Samuel or was it a lying familiar spirit? Saul was not killed by his enemies as Samuel predicted, rather he killed himself. Therefore the prophecy was false. Since it was a false prophecy, it could not have been given by God or Samuel.

2) David's child went to be with the Lord at death,

But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me (2 Samuel 12:23).

Yes, David would go to Sheol (grave) where his son was. Nothing mentioned about an afterlife experience.

3) Moses and Elijah made an appearance to the Lord Jesus,

Jesus said," Tell the vision to no man." It was a vision, "Origen was the first to comment that the presence of Moses and Elijah represented the "Law and the Prophets", referring to the Torah (also called the Pentateuch) and the rest of the Hebrew Bible.[23] Martin Luther continued to see them as the Law and the Prophets respectively, and their recognition of and conversation with Jesus as a symbol of how Jesus fulfills "the law and the prophets""

4) The Rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16,

Some say this unique story was a parable. I conclude that it was satire similar to the commending of the dishonest steward. Notice how the Pharisees reacted to that account...and then picture the Pharisees in torment in Hades that they concocted and preached to justify their unwillingness to lift a finger to help the poor.

5) Stephen was ready to go to Heaven at death,

Evidence please.

Paul anticipated the resurrection not heaven immediately after death. He knew that his next conscious thought would be witnessing the coming of the Lord. He looked forward to that day when he would receive a new body like Christ's

7) James' application of the spirit and the body,

The idea that the spirit or life goes back to God again does not imply being conscious in the presence of God. Jesus's spirit committed to God, but where did he go for 3 days? It wasn't heaven.

8) The souls of the people who died in the tribulation, conversed with the Lord Jesus immediately afterwards,

You will have to expand on this. If you are referring to the souls under the alter; their blood was crying out symbolically for vengeance. If their killers were all in hell suffering, why ask for justice? Why were they hiding under the alter instead of flying around enjoying heavenly bliss?

9) What must I do to be saved?

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Saved not from temporary death-sleep, but from eternal death at the resurrection when this mortal puts on immortality.
