spent the time , planning my escape, no lie from the time i was 13 or 14 til 20 or 21(when i left) I thought about how do i get out of here and from my famliy.
Sad, but true, at least I finally did get away, my family didn't.
Passing the time at boring meetings

Especially when I was younger, I would spend much of my time at the meeting day dreaming or thinking about neat shows I had seen. Nowadays, I try to spend my time at the meeting clearing my mind and meditating. I helps me to remain calm and centered when I hear things from the platform that make me angry.

I was quite liberal with my kids..if they were bored i'd take them home...used to get spoken to for that lol
we'd draw caricatures of people in the hall and the others would have to guess who they were..
( emphasising their 'outstanding' features and fabulous dress sense; kids can be so cruel)

If you go to an inner city hall, you sneak out during the song and go to the local bodega
for snacks.
It also helps to do grocery lists ( it looks like you're taking notes). You can get a lot of reading done
for work - or your own investment analysis by putting the stuff in folders discreetly.

My answers would wake people up...but stayed within the bounds of "good taste." I also played an anagram word game that I devised. I am fairly good at word games...I had lots of time to practice.

I had to perfect the art of daydreaming. However, I remember when I was really young, my mother would let me bring a toy car to the hall. I kept dropping the thing off the back of my seat, and a nice older lady would always pick it up for me, and give it back with a smile.
When I got older, started looking up dirty scriptures, and laughing, I'd get a smack from my mother, which would follow the stern whispering of "You pay attention!!!"
Later on, I had to master the art of daydreaming. This was bad. This is when I started thinking about suicide.

I usually just got up and walked around. I'd go out to my car, walk around the lot.....anything to get out of that auditorium.

I, too, used to draw pictures and captions on the watchtowers.
I use to do that 2...as well as writing the names of the bro's n sisters i couldnt stand in a notebook with what i called the 'shit' factor 1-10 and why i didnt like them...once i left it behind in the hall...just as well it didnt have my name in it.
I also use to write scripts out in my notebook at the meetings then once home tried them out..

I used to study the maps in the back and front covers of the green NWT. I also used to read it, since the Bible was more interesting than what was spewing from the platform.
