    Hi everyone:

President Bush appointed John J. DiIulio as White House Official to direct the Faith Based Community Initiatives. The United States Department of Agriculture, and AmeriCorps play an important role in fullfilling the agenda of President Bush. And now --so do Jehovah's Witnesses.

To read about John J. DiIulio, go here: http://www.upenn.edu/almanac/v47/n21/DiIulio.html

To read about Congressman Murtha's AmeriCorp news, go here and click on the listing at the top that starts with (Five Summer AmeriCorps Positions Available May 3, 1996) Go here:

    http://www.house.gov/murtha/news/newsacor.htm

To read nearly every aspect of the (Summer Gleaning Project), go here:

    http://www.usda.gov/news/pubs/gleaning/eight.htm

To see (Jehovah's Witnesses) listed as (Project Partners) for the Summer Gleaning Project with USDA and AmeriCorp,----Go here, and look under the (New Mexico) listing. Their listing starts with the words--(Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses)--Go here:

    Interesting, Voyager.

It bears noting, however, that the report you linked to (the one that actually mentions Jehovah's Witnesses) begins with remarks by Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman. Glickman served in that office under the Clinton administration, from March 1995 through January 2001. So while the report does not contain a date, it would have to be sometime during the Clinton administration.

So mentioning George Bush and John J. DiIulio is in fact irrelevant, not to say misleading.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Seriously though, --Don't Jehovah's Witnesses (still) preach that being (part of) any of these organizations,--especially so politically involved ones---is wrong? So does it make a difference whether it was then or now---they are still guilty--wouldn't you agree? Was it not (hidden) from other Jehovah's Witnesses? Did you know about it before now? If so, why didn't you inform us? Why is it, that every other week, someone on this forum is finding out something more that (exposes the Watchtower?) Did you know about the (United Ways) and the Watchtower? If so, why didn't you inform us? Why hasn't the Watchtower made an announcement in the Awake or Watchtower magazines about these relationships? Would you contact them for us, and find out why? We will await your reply. Please scan the letter you get back from them on this forum---Ok?---Voyager

Voyager... I'm not disputing that the Witnesses were involved in a government-sponsored charity program. Frankly, I think that's a good thing, but I also understand your point. I appreciate your sharing the information; and in fact, I think that documenting the Watchtower's various ties to secular organizations is a worthy project.

But you made clear misstatements of fact in your post. You stated that the program they participated in was part of an initiative sponsored by George W. Bush, and led by John DiIulio. That was simply not true, and so I felt bound to correct it, for the sake of accuracy.

I did not dispute your main point, that the Witnesses were involved with AmeriCorps; and I appreciate your sharing that fact.

    Sens:

You are absolutely right. It does not matter whether it is George Bush---or George Washington--the Watchtower is still (claiming to be (no part) of (ANY) of these organizations,--which makes them hypocrites and liers. NO part--means just that--no part. This is supposed to be Satans system, and for the Watchtower to be taking part in (any) of these organizations shows that they are (no better) than the ones they condemn. In fact --they are worse. Because they (claim) to be better--and yet are found to be secretly associated, and hiding in the background like cowards. Thank you Sens for your comments.--Take care---Voyager.

    Euphemism:

Thank you once again for your comments. You seem to want to clarify points. Isn't the Watchtower a member of (United Ways)? Isn't that going on right now? Is that not a part of President Bush's agenda. Community faith based organizations coming together to help feed those in a disaster. I personally feel that it is a wonderful thing for the Watchtower to help people in need. I think that they could show a little more of that spirit towards their own congregations. I have known of many families who were in the organization who needed help and did not receive any help what so ever. Why? Because someone in the family was disfellowshipped. So the elders forgot about that families needs. Yet they will go out and help the (worldly) folks--especially if this act can be (advertised). Is there a time when you can find (no fault) with someones post? Is there a time when you can just see in between the lines and get (the main point)? Did you find out about the United Nations scandal (the very day) it was exposed? Yet aren't you still talking about it today? If you told someone (who didn't) know about it right now today,--it would be (new) to them? When you make a post, I (do not) take your post apart piece by piece to see if every word is (clinicly) correct. I try to see the good in your posts, and take the extra time to look between the lines, to get the main points --without doing an autopsy. This is one reason I appreciate your posts. I find the good in them. I would appreciate the same courtesy.---Thank you so very much.--I do enjoy your information--Keep up the good work---Take care---Voyager

Voyager... this is a discussion board. If you post information, expect to get it discussed. That does not in any way lessen the value of the information.

    Euphemism:

Thank you once again for your kind words. Discussing with (respect) is better than just discussing. Putting the other persons feelings (first) ahead of our own is the display of spirit we want to show. Thanking the person for the hard work involved, the time and effort. Many people are doing the very best that they can (just to post information). Do you know what it is like to sit in a wheel chair--disabled--and blind in one eye,--working to do your best to post information, because you love your neighbor enough to post information, that you (hope) will be appreciated? If not,-then let me enlighten you. Your are now reading the post from a person in that very condition, and I again find the (very best) out of your posts, without disecting them to find the errors.---Why? Because of my love for you as my neighbor and friend.---Thank you oce again my friend, and my christian love for you and your family is great.---Voyager
