When I was smaller, Nov. 11 was considered as Armistice Day and was later changed to Veterans Day. My Dad was post commander of the local American Legion and every year, we stood with him and others offering the poppies for donations to all.
I used to see many wearing the poppies, but hardly see any wearing them today.
