Have you ever looked at your old posts?

I did for a little while today and I was cracking up! What I saw was a younger, more naive version of myself. I came out swinging! LOL! I was heavily involved in an anti-homosexual thread and a political thread within a month of my first post. Maybe leopards don't change their spots often. However, I love that naivate that I first had. I was so open and honest about everything and in the time since then I've become more guarded and insecure about what I say. I don't know what has caused that but, I miss the way I felt at first. I'm a changed person for the better or worse.

How do you feel about your older posts or threads? Do you feel the same as you did then? I've changed considerably. My basic view on things is pretty much the same but my attitude is vastly differant. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

    Sample post of mine:

I've just been posting since March, first on another board, then here. First I started off angry, at the society. Then my posts were mainly fluff. Lately, I've been told, I gravitate to the more negative threads. I'm not sure why.

I still feel the same as I did regarding my angry posts about the WTS, but I think I got alot of it out of my system, which is a good thing. It was beginning to affect my health. I still like fluff too.

My posts never change - they're stupid, just as they've always been.

Maybe leopards don't change their spots often.

Each leopard's spots, like fingerprints, are unique to that individual leopard. Leopards never change their spots. Maybe there is only a coming back, or a moving away, from who we really are; All the while our spots remain the same (?)

All this time I had mistaken myself for a leopard when I am really a giraffe. Or is it the other way around?

I love this place. During my time here deadly humor has administered a coup de grace to the Jehovah that I'd met on the road.

    Wait a minute...

    Here he comes again!

I think I'm up to 1100 plus posts. If I looked at everyone of them, I'd be on the computer 24/7.

I made 3000 stupid posts and a few better ones. We do change with time, so what I said is not necessarily what I think today.

Everybody evolved with time, and that's good.

I also used 2 or 3 dozen avatars since...

LOL, some of my earlier posts are extremely embarassing...as some of the more Mature Christians (TM) who've been here a couple of years know...hopefully I'm a little bit more mature now!

Actually, I sometimes go back to my posts under previous usernames (I had two others, not at the same time). At times, my posts were somewhat jw-apologetic.

The more I tried, the harder I found it to be a jw apologist, even on occasion. The logic was squarely on the other side of the discussion. That's one reason that I actually don't mind it when jw apologists post here - it gives me a chance to watch their arguments get demolished.
