I have a regular supply as my mom and sis are still "in". Access to the library sounds fun...see if you can get a hold of a copy of Preparation ("voorbereiding" in dutch) or God's Harp. Some interesting things in those that your kind elder will have a hard time to explain. Preparation for example contains very clear statements that the annointed receive angelic messages... :oD It was this book that hit me hard when I first started to read the older publications.... :o)
Maybe you could stumble some bro's by your stunning looks: "Look them apostates got all the hotties! Let's get outta here!"

Viv just phoned me and you'll never believe what happened! During the announcements she ran up on stage, took over the podium, and pushed the speaker down, then stuck out her tongue and called everyone a bastard!
Not really.
I wanted to tell Viv that going to the hall might get peoples hopes up and ones might think...."she's coming back". Would that happen in your particular congregation Viv? It would mine. If I walked into my hall , peoples jaws would hit the floor!
I have wanted so bad to go, just to see faces and friends, and be reminded of why I left........but it wouldn't work in my situation. Besides....nobody would talk to me anyway.

It's 4PM here, so I have to wait another 3.5 hours till play-time begins. I just came home from having lunch with my mommy, and I did the general rehearsal of my cover-story "Yeah, when I got DF I got rather wild, and indulged myself in sex-orgies and drunken parties, but there was still this emptyness of having no purpose in life and...." and at that point I rolled on the floor laughing my ass off. I am so not gonna be able to pull this one off. I only wish there was someone who could go with me, to give me support in evilness

Sounds like you are curious and want to see what kind of reaction you will get from people who will be so happy to see you, but can't even speak to you anymore. I think you want them to see you. You want them to notice you have not been struck by lightening, nor is the flesh rotting off your bones.
When they see you, dressed down, picking up literature, it would be a confusing signal to them--that maybe you are "trying to return" to the fold.
Although I have no fear of going back inside a building or seeing people from my past that I lost a long time ago, I would never entertain the idea of returning, not even for the purpose of finding out what they are up to. There has got to be another way to get the current literature you need for your research.
