I'm glad you didn't say you saw Juan Pierre of the Florida Marlins, who recently gained rap infamy with his post-World Series horror of a "rap" song. In his case, Ludicrous, not Ludicris.

Aztec, Jesus is part of one of the all-time most prolific songwriting teams of Jesus and Jehovah (at times, they get a contribution by Holy Spirit). They are reportedly right up there with John-Taupin, McCartney-Lennon, Mann-Weil, and Bacharach-David.

People don't really like rap, they just pretend to. That's what I keep telling myself...

Funny how sometimes a music genre can become defined by the first example one encounters. The first rap song I ever heard was Deborah Harry singing 'Rapture', and it is still, in my opinion, the best. Best music, best lyrics, best video.

Some of Weird Al's rap music would be a close second though, i.e. 'Amish Paradise'.

I love that song!! Funny, I always just called her "Blondie"....I didn't realize that was her name.

Weird Al rocks! Yep, I'm a nerd.
