has to be sean connery. ive been a bond fan since i saw the second film--from russia with love. ( didnt see dr no when it first came out--not till a lot later. still like both )

then read all the books.

I also just want to state that it's not unprecedented for a Bond film to have a theme song that has a different title from the movie.

Off the top of my head:

The Spy Who Loved Me - Nobody Does It Better
Octopussy - All Time High
Casino Royale - You Know My Name
Quantum of Solace - Another Way to Die

Also, I believe there were a few bond films that just had instrumental themes. (Dr. No, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, etc?)

Bond is in this part of my brain that stores a bunch of other useless factoids. :-P

I've read most of the novels. A few of them several times over. I think I've read all of them, but can't remember. I might have to read them all again, just to be sure I didn't miss one.

As far as the perfect James Bond, a name that was thrown around on the internet that really appealed to me was Idris Elba. I think he'd be excellent.
