Some jws do something similar, HP, they select a day 6 months after their birthday and celebrate it then as their day, cake and gifts, usually just with jw family and "close" jw friends.

They do other similar things, like "celebrating" Christmas 6 months later or buying a birthday cake on sale (not picked up at the bakery) or holiday treats after the holiday, but some jws are so scrupulous shortly before and up to the date, not to each treats at work, school, or at relatives.

Yes 42 - and I’m going over to some of my good friends house to celebrate - this is my first one and I’m so excited 🎂🎂🎂🎂😋
We used to have “I love you parties” every year as kids and exchange gifts. It was fun but we stopped after elders complained to parents it was too much like a worldly celebration.
All I have to say about that now is Fu€k’em
