Dark Uncle-----You never told us that you weren't German. If you are, it would explain why you speak German in your sleep....BTW, are you sure you were speaking German and not some other language? How would anyone know what foreign language you were speaking if they didn't know it in the firstplace???.......P.S. You sound demonized.

Can't say that the demons ever frightened me. Besides I wear a cross that has been blessed by a priest. Demons are afraid of the cross you know.

Yeeahhhh, I was scared of them right up until the day I mentally broke free of the org. As a kid I was more fascinated; I used to love to hear demon stories that other witnesses experienced. When I was a teen in high school I had some "worldly" friends who were into the Tarot and Ouiji boards, and one of them said that her father's spirit and the spirit of a murdered little girl hung around her all the time. Some of the girls said they knew individual spirits by their names...that they would sit on their beds and argue loudly in the middle of the night...stories like that. And that they would change their reflections in the mirror. After hearing all their stories I think I must have imagined some demon experiences with me (I was terrified at the time, but when I think back, it's nothing I couldn't have imagined). After that I wanted nothing to do with them.

I was always afraid of the dark, even as an adult. I couldn't sleep with my arms or legs hanging off the bed for fear there would be some kind of demon creature who would grab it. I couldn't be in a house with open windows if the lights were on inside. (Well...I still can't.) But even a few days before I was mentally free of the org, I would lay awake at night afraid to breathe because I was so scared of demons.

I am not sure whether I believe in spirits now, but if they exist, I definitely don't think they care to involve themselves in the lives of humans the way or to the extent that Witnesses suggest. :-p

    BTW, I loved your story, I'mAllGrowedUp. ;-)

Hell yeah!!!! (oops..can I say hell?)

Let me tell you a story! My mother had just started studying with the dubs. Around that time, I went to a rabbit farm for a school field trip. I came home with a rabbits foot from the gift shop. Other kids on the bus did not want theirs and gave them to me, so I had about 7 rabbits feet when I got home. But, when we arrived at the farm, I went into one of the buildings and got the funniest feeling...my hair was standing on end, and I felt spooked. But as a kid, I had no idea why and just went home happy with my fuzzy rabbits feet. As things happen, those rabbit feet ended up under my bed, with a bunch of other toys I didn't feel like "putting away". I was about 7 years old at the time.

The night I brought them home, some really weird things started happening. At first, I thought I was dreaming, and my mother kept telling me I was dreaming. But it was so real that I was terrified. What started happening in the middle of the night was that something would wake me up, then my bed would lift off the floor and float across my bedroom (and I had a big room)! I would try to scream, but nothing came out. Eventually, the bed would float back to it's spot and go back to the floor. Then, I would be able to make a sound and scream for my mother. She would not believe that it was really happening, but it was. Then, about a week after this happened to me night after night, a new thing started to happen. While my bed was floating, all of a sudden, my brother would come rolling out of his bedroom, just like someone threw him out of the room. He would hit the wall across from his door. That would wake my mother. He told my mom that someone grabbed him out of bed and sometimes shoved, other times threw him out airborne from his room. This went on for about a month with my parents waking up in the middle of the night.

My mother was distraught and asked the dubs about it. They told her that we had demons and that she had to throw out any religious item. Mom threw out everything she could think of that would be religious--must have been about $500 worth of jewelry in the trash can! But even then, it kept happening, but she never saw any of it, just our word for it, until one night. While I was floating, I used to keep trying to yell for my mother, but couldn't get a sound out. This one night, I was able to call mom while I was across the room floating. She ran out of her room, saw me floating and then at the same moment saw my brother come flying out of his room and land on the floor. OMG, she freaked out, woke my father, turned on every light in the house, etc. They tore through the house that night and found the rabbits feet under the bed and put it together that when I brought them home, this stuff started happening. So dad took them outside and burned them in the middle of the night (the neighbors must have thought he was nuts). From that day on, the problem stopped and never happened again.

So, needless to say, I grew up with an absolute terror of demons! I was afraid to go to bed and always slept with a light on after that. As I look back now, I think we just had an angry ghost...don't know about it being a demon. But, the dubs kept my terror alive for many years after that!

Lovinlife----So.... do you think the demons were behind it? If not--why not?

Hi minimus, now, when I look back on it, I don't think it was "demons" in the sense that the dubs meant. But I do believe they were ghosts with a nasty personality! I guess I would say that I do believe in the supernatural beings ability to show themselves in some way to us. I also had a friend at school as a kid that had a "friendly" ghost in her house. It used to move furniture the way it liked it, even though her mom kept changing it back. The mom finally gave up and just left it the way it was.

I don't believe they chose to attack us because mom was studying (that's what the dubs told her). I believe that the farm I went to obviously had a strong presence (hair standing up on my neck) and it came home with me. End of story. But, to this day, I am very careful about any type of negative occult things--just in case!
