    In trying to help another poster uncover different WT corporate names, I came across some interesting information I thought I would share. This goes hand in hand with the orange grove information being posted right now. Maybe someone out there can shed some light on this as well! It's kind of a long post, but I've highlighted the most important information. So please bear with it through the end because I think you will be surprised at where this goes.

    The next document has two different types of listings. The first part of it lists current and past Assessor's (tax) records, and the second parts lists sales records for the past 10 years.

    How this document works is the most recent information is on top, and decends in reverse chronological order. You will notice that on the Sales Record, James McCabe, the Attorney, is not listed as one of the parties this piece of property was sold to. I'm not sure if that is because McCabe was not a party to the sale, or if for some reason, his name was left off the sales record. But the fact that he is on the Assessor's record, which is the actual deed to the property, shows that he is in fact, one of the owners of the property. The most interesting aspect of these documents is who is listed as the Mortgage Lender.

    You will notice also when you get to the Sales Record, that no mortgage lender is listed. Usually (not always) this means there was NO mortgage lender, which means, that the party purchasing the property paid for it in cash.

    The Standard Use Code is how the property is zoned. This property is zoned as Agricultural - Orchard. Why is the WT serving as a private mortgage lender to two private parties for something other than a Kingdom Hall, and one of those parties just happens to be one of their attorneys?

    Now THAT's pretty interesting! If you look at the latest "Forbes" magazine, there's an article about an heiress who's suing her dad and another family member and accusing them of doing some fancy footwork with her trust money and doing her out of her inheritance by using the money to pay back a loan from a corporation that was bought with the money in the first place. Or something like that . . . This kind of high finance gives me a headache. Anyway, the money is juggled in such a way that it appears that the corporation/trust has no money at all, so no taxes are owed, but in reality it's worth billions.

    I can't get over the different ways people can hide their money, and make it appear as if they don't have any. It would seem that most people would want to hide their assets for tax reasons. I think this information shows there is more than one reason to hide what you've got!

    Anyway, I sure hope the girl in the Forbes article can get some of her money back!

    Interesting information. It does make you wonder if they are trying to shuffle money around. Either that or they're coming up with their own wine for Memorial!

    I don't know - is this guy retiring and using WT funds to mortgage a property in California?

    That's what it sounds like, or maybe he is getting a free mortgage as part of a payment for legal work for the WT - a kind of blackmail. Probably illegal, or should be.

    growedup, very interesting research!

    I did a map search for 11680 Byron Hwy, Byron, CA, 94514, and this property is tucked in between Contra Costa and San Joaquin, just a bit N. of Alameda, and just W. of a sizable lake/reservoir.

    Perhaps one of the posters here that live in Central California are familiar with this area?

    Well - I don't know if it's legal, but here is what I think happened.

    The WT purchased this property and then resold it for the SAME amount to its lawyer, and financed his purchase of it along with these Lehrer people.

    It sounds like the Lehrer's wanted to open a vineyard, so this lawyer friend of theirs agreed to go into business with them. However, they needed a cheap mortgage, especially in the wine industry, which has high overhead. Ergo, this lawyer friend of theirs pulled some strings at the WT, used funds to buy this property, and then essentially filled out an IOU to the Society for the amount, possibly on favorable terms. Are the terms available, as a matter of public record?

    It's possible that this is a kind of retirement package to the Lehrers. Has anyone heard of them? The name sounds familiar.

    It's not too far from me - maybe an hour and 15 minutes or so. I am familiar with the area in that I know that it is basically an agricultural area. If you want to see a picture of it - go to www.mapquest.com and enter the following information on the US maps page -

    Address or intersection: 11680 Byron

    City: Byron

    State: CA

    When the map comes up, at the top edge of the picture is a taupe-colored tab marked "aerial view". You can click on that, and can zoom in or out from there. It does not appear as if there is any dwelling on it.

    For anyone not familiar with California, San Diego is a good 8-hour drive from Byron, so it's unlikely the lawyer lives there. In fact, you will notice on the Assessor's records that the taxes are actually mailed to an address in Discovery Bay, which is not too far from Byron. My guess is the people who are running the vineyard live at the address in Discovery Bay and the lawyer is still sitting pretty in San Diego waiting for his next client that wants him to work on their wealth transferring strategies. What I can't figure out is why the lawyer is on the deed.

    I have actually found a whole bunch more stuff similiar to this, and got hooked up with the guy who brought the UN-NGO story to light. We're putting our heads together to compile what we've found, and will post it when we can figure out exactly what they are up to. In the meantime, it appears to me that the WT doesn't dabble just in end time prophesies anymore, Toto.
