Add up the digits that someone posts and subtract that number from 9 to get the "answer".
Edit: you have to keep adding the digits till you get a single digit, btw.

The sum of the digits in your answer always equals 9. So when someone gives us all the digits except one of them, you can determine the missing digit by subtracting the sum of the reported digits from 9.
