It bugged me when it started a few years ago.
I've become used to the fact that that is how millenials say it.
I forget the PC and just say" thanks love, appreciate it".....
Terry - "Whatever happened to 'YOU'RE WELCOME'? Has 'NO PROBLEM' replaced it?"
Well, "you're welcome" has more-or-less replaced "much obliged".
Language evolves (like everything else).
I have come to believe the "no problem" response is used mostly by the 'selfie' generation.
What else is to be expected from a generation that no longer reads, cannot spell or use proper Grammar, texts and drives, and the worst punishment is taking their electronic devices away.
It is annoying.

When i read your post, i immediately thought of a piece i saw on CBS new sunday morning about this exact issue some time ago.
I couldn't agree more with that piece, and I remember thinking that I too say "No problem" somewhat instinctively when in reality there is no reason to say it. Saying "no problem" is reserved for instances when there IS a problem.
No problem should be said in lieu of "That's ok", or "no worries", like when someone steps on your foot.
Anyway, if you obsess on these little things, like I do, then you can view that specific piece of CBS here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2E8wmUff5w
