There was plenty of beer, wine and mixed drinks consumed. None of it my me though. I never would have been able to drive the 2 hours back to Ottawa. But I had just as much fun anyway!!
I'd like to officially register a complaint with the Ministry of Highways in Quebec though. It should be a criminal offense to have major stretches of main highway (more than 50 km) without a Tim Hortons. Now I have an idea of what it's like to be shamus.

You should try it sometime shamus! I'm sure after a year or so of sobriety, your driving skills will improve exponentially!

The main reason was the distance (500 km as opposed to 180 km). A mom can only handle so many Are-we-there-yets. I know my limitations!! Mouthy's was even further away.
I'll have you know that Kaethra and I have done LOTS of really naughty pagan stuff. So there!

I knew JH would post last night - I just knew it! I had to put my computer together to be able to post since I had furniture arriving yesterday and needed to move everything around. By the time I found all the pieces I was too tired to assemble everything! I fell asleep thinking: "first thing in the morning I have to post". So, before I had my coffee, I retrieved the parts, hooked everything up, made my coffee, spilled coffee on my keyboard, and am now posting.
Some of us who didn't have far to travel went to Rockaberry's for dessert after supper; you should see the stuff they have! I had a wonderful Key Lime pie, everyone chatted and laughed for quite some time. It's amazing how I never felt as much at ease with the dubs when we'd get together as I did with the folks last night, some of whom I had never even met before.
It was cool seeing SisterLiz again and her mom, plus her younger sister came along also. We used to be in the same congregation together years ago! It's such a small world (in more ways than one for dubs!) - Lapuce's ex-wife was in the same congregation as SaintSatan's friends some years ago!
The groups seemed to be pretty evenly split between DFs, DAs and faded ones. The apostate version of anointed/other sheep/Nethinim? God, I'm not making any sense, better try another coffee.
If anyone is going to be in the Montreal area mid-January let one of us know, it'd be great to meet "others of like mind." It'll probably be an afternoon meet-up at Guest77's place, that way Scully, JH and perhaps others who have fairly far to travel will have plenty of time to make it home. Of course, the way JH drives it probably wouldn't make any difference, seems like he posted about half hour after leaving the restaurant ! Must have been that fight with the red M&M that got his adrenaline going!
Oh yeah guys, SisterLiz' mum promised to bring her extra special to-die-for cheesecake when we meet at Guest's house.
Thanks for the great pics, it looks like ya'll had a great time. I like the one where Scully was throwing the chicken balls at the waiter!
