So we have been "green" blowing up all our coal power plants now they are saying we are like North Korea...expect regular power blackouts. Who is running this show?
Aussies closed all the coal power plants...now we have blackouts no electricity!

The pinch is going to hit during the evening peak load, which typically occurs between 18:00 and 20:00 hrs. Not much solar energy available by that time of a winter evening!
Bloody ironic when this country has vast reserves of coal, large amounts both coal-seam and natural gas, as well as the world’s largest known deposit of uranium (at Olympic Dam, in South Australia).
However, not all is necessarily lost. Even some of the greenies now agree that nuclear energy may not be such a bad idea after all!

Those green goobers are trying the same garbage in the USA as well. We've been warned to expect rolling blackouts. Meanwhile they want us to buy battery powered cars. Exactly how is that supposed to work without the ability to charge them?

That list of coal-fired Australian power stations was the case when published - but that was six years ago
i.e. 2016.
Even then, nine coal-fired plants had already been de-commissioned in the six year period prior to that,
Source: Australian Energy Council, Submission 44, p. 6.
Working for an electrical engineering company which is frequently engaged in trying to pick up the pieces which all too often happen after rushed attempts to "go renewable", I am all too aware of its pitfalls. All is not what it may seem!

It is the coal that is exported and burned that is polluting and warming the planet. A Manhattan Project - style effort to create passive cool building codes, energy storage, would go a long way, to make it work .locally
Australia is so well endowed for this work, sun, empty space, and of course already is first in using wave power. surf[ing] is up.

That sounds like it’s meant to prove some kind of point. But all it shows is that there are more than 20 coal power plants still operating in Australia (taking into account the two that were since decommissioned according to the schedule that was in place during the tenure of the previous government), confirming that the alarmist topic heading is indeed false. It appears that one scheduled for decommissioning this year has sparked the ‘outrage’ that they’re ‘all’ being closed. 🤦♂️
Even then, nine coal-fired plants had already been de-commissioned in the six year period prior to that,
So… coal plants have actually closed at a significantly lower rate in the last 6 years than in the 6 years prior.

The liberal agenda includes the religion of climate change. Don't let pesky facts get in the way.

And not a peep about not wasting energy. How much energy does a church waste during a service? How much energy do people waste by going to and from church, including jokehovians in field circus? The jokehovians are probably the biggest energy wastrels on the planet--and all the cars they drive in field circus probably puts more carbon dioxide in the air, for stupid things, than those power plants generating needed electricity. (Of which some is used to charge cars that are later used to go to church or in field circus, or to power those churches.)
While that might not be much, it would at least be a start. Stop going to church (bonus: You also stop supporting with your spiritual energy global enslavement while saving energy). You go to boasting sessions, stop. You go out in field circus, stop. That would not only save energy, but perhaps give those who want us regressing their own energy crisis--in the form of a shortage of spiritual energy.
