Study finds more than 2 million people in NYC by the end of March had Covid-19. Yet the state reported that only 200,000 cases. hmmmm

Are you perhaps conflating "people who are infected" with "people who have antibodies"?

Why are those numbers retarded Simon?

If you wanted to calculate the percentage of people that die from traffic accidents, wouldn’t you divide deaths by total accidents?

Depends if you mean the percentage of drivers & passengers that die due to road traffic accidents or the percentage of accidents that are fatal.

The fact that you start with "lets throw out the active cases [biggest number] for our calculations" sets the stage for all kinds of bad math and inference.

So then governments would have better off to withhold restrictions after they observed how many people had builtin anti bodies or who could repel the virus if they did get effected ?

Keep in mind that it was being observed just how deadly this virus could be by the fact that people such as the doctor who tried to warn the Chinese government about the virus died from it himself.

The early observations from the start was that this virus was indeed deadly .

The doctor (eye doctor) who died, are you sure he died was one person. Being a doctor does not prevent someone from dying of a disease, especially in a country where hygiene is an afterthought. Maybe he had underlying conditions. Maybe he actually had pneumonia.

it is kind of interesting if you look at the data we currently have. of the 20,000 or so people in NY who are listed as dying of C-19 5000+ of these deaths listed COVID-19 as the cause of death, but there was no lab test performed. basically 25% of the people reported to have died of C-19 did not have a laboratory test performed.

Three states in US confirmed having inflated COVID death stats: NY (of course, yet are hiding nursing home deaths), Pennsylvania and Washington. There are more out there - just wait.

I'm not sure we can trust any "information" that came out of China. It seems like whatever the reason for them having the virus, they would want to benefit from its existence once it was out.

Remember all the video footage of people collapsing and shaking in the street, like something out of The Andromeda Strain? Why don't we see that anywhere else? Was it misinformation to prompt an over-reaction? To incite fear?

The high death count has more to do with poor response - stuffing infected patients into care homes with the most vulnerable.

It's almost sinister - the most democratic states seemed to do the "best" job of intentionally killing the oldest, who tend to be more republican leaning. That's obviously "conspiracy theory" but can you come up with a scenario of what they could have done to kill more old people? And why would you ever put the infected in with the oldest / weakest? Isn't that day-1 medical school level stuff? (if you even need any medical training at all to know the bleeding obvious).

Cuomo and anyone else who made those decisions should be facing an inquiry and possibly a trial.

It wasn't like there were shortages of hospital beds - there were entire hospitals sitting unused.
