Why is Amway linked to cult religions? I came across a web site some time ago entitled "My life with Eckankar and Amway".

I did a search on those two words and got 404 hits. This one is interesting as it lists JW's, Eckankar, Amway and Larouche amongst its cult topics...Larouche is You Knows favorite prophet and facist.

I posted the link earlier but when I checked out the links many were out of date, broken/no longer hosted. It was interesting who was on the list though.

Well well well.....my oldest brother is getting started in Quixstar. He asked me to a meeting at his house last night, but fortunately for me, I had a late job and couldn't make it. He then asked me to go to a bigger meeting next Friday. Yeah, I'll go, and be open-minded, but this kind of business just does not appeal to me. I don't like the idea of having to constantly recruit people so that you can make any money. To me, that puts more emphasis on the scheme and not the product. the product is almost incidental to the method of making money.

The thing that chaps my ass about these outfits is that the people trying to sell it to you try to make you feel like you're really dumb for not going for it. Kinda like the borg, I guess.

I don't know much about Amway and so won't comment on that. But, I think that just because people have had a bad experience with the WTBTS they shouldn't become paranoid and suspicious of all organisations - they are not all cults! And there are some genuinely nice people out there who want to help others as well as those who are just trying to do a job or sell a product in order to support themselves!
