Loneliness is the human condition. Cultivate it. The way it tunnels into you allows your soul room to grow. Never expect to outgrow loneliness. Never hope to find people who will understand you, someone to fill that space. An intelligent, sensitive person is the exception, the very great exception. If you expect to find people who will understand you, you will grow murderous with disappointment. The best you'll ever do is to understand yourself, know what it is that you want, and not let the cattle stand in your way.
'Forget sex or politics or religion, loneliness is the subject that clears out a room'. -
Douglas Coupland
Zeb, both those quotes resonate loudly with me.
"“I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel all alone.”

We can do nothing to change the preople who make us feel that way. How we feel about ourselves, and what we do, are things we can change.
Loneliness is one of those things that:
Being alone, with many people around you claiming to be your friend--jw life
Being alone, and liking it, no longer around fake friends--ex-jw life
Loneliness is what results from telling people to leave you alone so often that they finally take your advice.
