I saw on the news here in the States that the Queen fired Andrew and cut off his allowance. If true, good for her. He did say he was stepping away from official business. He has harmed the Windsor brand.
The Queen didn’t fired her son, has been reported that HE asked to retired from public duties until the foreseeable future.
This is not to say that this could have been Her Majesty request from him behind closed doors. That we will never know.
None the less, there has been some charities that have dropped Prince Andrew as their patron, it’s better to stop his work now than to have him paraded and keep reminding the public of this horrid situation. That’s probably what Buckingham Palace is thinking.
I think this all friendship was quite fishy. I don’t believe that he didn’t knew what was going on.
Many victims have mentioned Prince Andrew being present in many situations. This will not be something that will go away easily... and it shouldn’t. The Victims need the truth.
ps- the Queen herself has other monies that can be directed to provide Prince Andrew with an income.

Prince Andrew isn’t paid from the public purse, his mother gives him the money. It’s called the Civil List and It all changed some years ago when people become outraged that a whole string of hangers on were being paid plus the Queen wasn’t paying tax. Now I think it’s only those in direct line to the throne do or will in the future get cash.( Duke of York the exception?)
Looks like her majesty the Queen has stripped her son of his duties.
