  If you have a hobby, you might want to join a club... For example, I joined some dance clubs when I got to Vancouver. That's where I met John. We spend quality time together doing things we love -- dancing! We are finding we have other interests in common as well, and that is especially nice. Every new thing we are discovering we have in common just makes it that much nicer...hehehe!!

  I would not recommend singles bars as a way to meet important people that you might want to invite into your life. The only people you meet in bars are people who like to ummm ... drink...?

  Singles bars? I used to go to them alot. If I was looking to get laid, I'd say about a 50% success rate. For a relationship - forget it.

  If you are really looking for someone to share your life with, you might try to find some political campaigns or causes to be involved in. You've got a lot of energy, and might find someone who shares your beliefs.

  I am married but do confess to going into singles bars but I like food and alcohol -- so my reason for going in is to enjoy alcohol and food and if women are there also that is a nice bonus (ps what is the difference between a penis and a bonus?)

  I'm still figuring out where to meet quality people (and hot men). IMO, the bar scene is a definite negative, unless you are just looking to party. Besides this very kewl chatboard, I haven't had much luck online either. Just had an incident with a psychotic person this afternoon. *sighs* who knows.
