WE Have no idea where the 800 came from. The point being most of could not stock up on anything even if it was a good deal with our incomes
And booze in excess is forbidden for the ranks, as is probably a good idea. And Sunday you are supposed to be at meeting, studying, or going door to door
So:
You do not know where the money came from.
Excess is not the point, it might be for the whole year.
To which congregation is he assignd to know if he has his meeting or fs on that moment?
And just because it looks big money to you that doesnt mean a thing. I knew bethelites with three houses rented out, getting over 2000 a month.
$800, possibly by seeing the brand of whiskey, how much a bottle costs, how many bottles Tony had in the picture?
Did one of the governing body die?
TM the Third hasn't died but his career as a member of the GB might have.
Black Sheep - "All he was doing was buying likker, the same as Rutherford did during the prohibition except that now it's legal. It's not like he's an SDA or a Mormon, so what's the big deal?"
I'll respond to that by reiterating the same thing I said a couple weeks back when this came up (again):
It's not about buying liquor, per se.
It's about the fact that a GB member (someone who is supposedly held to a higher moral standard to and is almost idolized by the rank-and-file)...
a) ...bought over nine hundred dollars worth (who can afford to spare that kind of cheddar just for recreational purposes?)...
b) ...of the exact same stuff (so it's doubtful he was shopping for anyone but himself and his wife, and he admits as much in the footage... greed or raging alcoholism, you decide)...
c) ...from a store in a completely different town a half-hour away, suggesting that he didn't want anyone local - particularly anyone at WTHQ - to see him.
None of these conditions paint a positive picture of a righteous and pious religious leader worthy of anyone's loyalty, regardless of the WT history's long-standing relationship with liquor.
"b) ...of the exact same stuff (so it's doubtful he was shopping for anyone but himself and his wife, and he admits as much in the footage... greed or raging alcoholism, you decide)..."
You are just guessing that it's only for him & her.
There is so much good quality evidence around that the GB aren't who they claim they are, that this sort of nonsense is probably nothing more than a welcome distraction for them.

LOL!
