Watchtower 1968 p.286 "Bible evidence and a recent review shows that Jesus DID have a beard..." Charles Russell style of beard was popular at bethel...till Rutherford took over. He asked many to shave off their beards. Today the Witness beard fear seems to continue.

I had a couple of run ins with P.O. / Elders over my 32 years as a JW about my beard and I regret to say I caved in then.
But since 1993 I proudly wear my well trimmed beard ,and now i`m even letting my hair grow a bit longer ?
Who knows when it will stop ?
imho. every male should grow a beard, on their bucket list, to know what it feels to let the masculinity rip. before you r.i.p. moment in time.
The only 2 perfect men on earth had beards, for want of good razors. be the 3rd perfect man.
More often than not, a well-kept beard improves a man's appearance.
And I have long suspected (even way back when I was still in) that the Org doesn't really want its members to be too pretty.
