How about calling what these words in bible are , particularly these scriptures, its called mythological fictional story telling.
The WTS sold a lot of literature on not being directly and honestly disclosing that fact.
We (in the 21st century) are not living in the biblical "last days."

Not only was Jesus a false prophet, but he also believed in the worldwide flood, a fish swallowing a person and surviving, he believed Adam and Eve existed, spoke with a ghost in the desert and promised people they would never die (sound familiar?) The list can go on....

Peter said they we're in the last days in acts chapter 2. John said they we're in thevlast hour of the last days 1john. Jesus said he would be back very soon 5 times in the last chapter of revelation.
Yep, so glad I wasted 45 years of my life on this book.

Matthew's Gospel was in all likelihood written after the 70 C E destruction of Jerusalem, so was not prophetic as to that event !
Probably the preacher who the Jesus myth is based upon uttered something about his return.
By the end of the 1st Century the disciples were getting worried "Where is this promised presence of his ?", so further writings, the letters of "Peter" for example, try to excuse the no-show of the false prophet, who was a fiction/myth anyway.

I often wonder just how long can the JW org continue to say that we are living in the 'last days'. They have been saying this for decades. Surely this is already wearing thin as it is.
If the organisation is still in existence in 50 years time, will they still be saying this then? what about 100, 200 or 300 years time?
For how long a time period can one perceive as the 'last days'?

The WTS as well other religious charlatans proclaimed that mankind is living in the last days because these organization were endeavored to sell literature and to intentionally coerce other people to publicly distribute their literature.
These organization or single people such as (Harold Camping) exploited the basic belief in the bible to support their assertions and to further proliferate their publications..
As you can see by the WTS/JWS it worked.
The WTS. has been around now for over 100 years in state of sustainability by operating on the same platform.
