What Do You Plan On Buying For Christmas Presents?

I want to give a few "presents" to some in my immediate family as well as a couple of friends. What's on your "wish list"? What do you plan on buying this year?

I just got home from doing a bit of shopping. I bought:

Clothes, books, wine glasses, Christmas decorations (always good for recently ex'd JW's), games, toys, CD's, etc.

On my wish list:

I would kind of like the Trivial Pursuit DVD game, more Beautiful perfume. I saw a CD holder for your visor in the car. That looked neat. I would love a Food Saver (vacuum packs food). There's more, but I am too hungry to think about it. Lunchtime!!!

I'm lazy. I have my neices and nephews pick out what they want at the mall or I will let them order something online. I give gift certificates to the rest of the family and friends to their favorite store. I use to stress myself out every year trying to pick everybody out the perfect gift. I would spend hours shopping. I prefer letting them pick out what they want.

I kept getting hints that Polly Pocket and Easy Bake were prime directives from Santa this year...I mean how manytimes can a kid say Easy Bake in one day? Only Jehover knows...*LOL*

I used to buy my wife lavish presents; and when the children came along, they got whatever they wanted. Being an X JW, I suppose I had something to prove and lost time to make up " recher che du temps perdu" Proust.

Then I bought a house with a hefty mortgage payment due every month.

The children still get whatever they want---and my wife and I are content with being proud "homeowners", and paying our bills on time.

I just bought my czarina the Space Ghost DVD. I'm so excited! This is the first time I've ever bought anybody an xmas present, and I just know she'll love it, and I can barely stand to see it under the tree!

I never really knew that giving was better than receiving - but it is! It's so much fun to pick out presents. I've decided to be the weird family member (in my new family) that always gives strange, unusable presents like lava lamps and obscure video games.
