6 “For this is what Jehovah of armies says, ‘Yet once more—in a little while—and I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land.’+7 “‘And I will shake all the nations, and the precious* things of all the nations will come in;+ and I will fill this house with glory,’+says Jehovah of armies.8 “‘The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,’ declares Jehovah of armies.9 “‘The future glory of this house will be greater than the former,’+ says Jehovah of armies.

I don't know why they ask for donations. After all, all the silver and gold already belongs to Jehovah.

Who needs apostates when you have a GB like this?

That's what happens when you tell people not to educate themselves, not to make money, and then expect to survive financially from those same people.

They have always had a 'planned giving" brochure. It is generally housed with the secretary of the congregation and you can ask to see it.

Lol, the first link nonjwspouse posted....

It's about charity, Chinese speaking JW helping out a Chinese man who had troubles crossing a border. She used 20usd to help the guy pay a fine...but that wasn't a gift, but a loan.

The man went out of his way to repay his debt.

That's the best example of JW charity? Someone to stingy too give 20 dollars to a person in need?

I SAY SCREW the wt org . and the leaders at bethel . ask high bethel personal what they , ate how they traveled, how nice their homes are, how nice their clothes are? etc..... living well? doing next to nothing... begging some minimum wage jw , riding the city bus to work , feeding her kids food from the dollar store, sowing patches on their clothes to give MORE!!!! I once asked a rich elder " if I could borrow his suit as I had to go to a wedding and didn't have a good suit?" I I TOLD HIM I WOULD TAKE IT TO THE DRY CLEANERS and return it in days. he never talked to me again.. he had so maNy $ 500 suits and so much $$$$ . he could have lent me a 20 year old suit. and I could have looked like a well dressed man. that night. I still came off good that night with a new cheap white shirt and tie , and shined up old shoes with holes in the soles. and danced half the night. had a great time. i think you dance better with holes in you shoes LOL JWD

Who wants to place bets on when they'll introduce tithing?

It's not a question of if, but when.

I ask not how I should donate to joke-hova, but why. It matters not if I can donate to that thing if it doesn't deserve it.

When I was studying with JWs, one of their big selling points was that -- unlike Christendom (which the WT accused of always hitting people up for money) -- Jehovah's organization is funded by the unsolicited, willing donations of dedicated Jehovah's Witnesses.

When they say "here is what we do with your money", they always use the "disaster relief" as if it is a big part of what they do while in fact, it is only a fraction of it. Most of the work and donated resources tend to be from the locals. The real expense for the watchtower is making videos taking credit for everything that was done.
