Latest on FB: Detectives have charged Keith Beviss, aged 54 from Honiton with the murder of Philip Ryan aged 55 who was from Westward Ho. This development follows the police discovering the body of Mr Ryan at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dowell Street in Honiton at around 3.50pm on June 6. "Philip was a very kind, gentle and loving husband who will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Very strange incident. It will be interesting to see what the motive was.
I just discovered there is a town in England that actually ends in and exclamation mark - Westward Ho!

More than 900 people have attended the funeral of a Westward Ho! tradesman described a "kind, gentle and intelligent man who was killed in a stabbing in Honiton.
A large crowd gathered at Bristol Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, June 24, to say their good byes to a Philip Ryan, 55, man who "volunteered and helped out on so many different projects that he had friends and admirers all over".

Beviss will undergo psychiatric assesment
A man who is accused of murdering an electrician as he was working at a Jehovah's Witness hall is to be moved to hospital for a psychiatric assessment.
Keith Beviss, aged 54, of Woodhayes Drive, Honiton, is currently on remand at Long Lartin Prison but is likely to be transferred shortly.
He is due to be tried at Exeter Crown Court on November 27 for the murder of 55-year-old Philip Ryan at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Dowell Street, Honiton, on Tuesday June 6.
Judge Geoffrey Mercer, QC, adjourned the case for a further hearing on November 3, when the arrangements for the trial will be finalised. He remanded Beviss into custody.

Thanks for the update.
Was talking to someone from there the other day. Seems it was random in the sense the guy had no history or beef with the Witnesses but he did go back home to get the knife when he saw tbe victim working at the hall.
