I'm sure they could come up with something significant occurring in 1934.

from 1934 onward, those of the “bride” class, with heavenly hopes, spoken of as the “anointed remnant” of Christ’s brothers, plainly pointed out that these “other sheep” must now make a full dedication of themselves to God and symbolize this dedication by water baptism and then become associates and fellow witnesses of Jehovah with his remnant class.

The WTS also used to have 7,000 year creative days. Since around 1987, only thousands of years.

The history of the 7,000 year creative day; the WTS has never officially backed away from this teaching, just stopped mentioning it. When we re-studied the most recent creation book, one brother still had his old copy; the rest of us had a new one. The brother was the reader and when he read the paragraph, he read 7,000 years. The conductor immediately corrected him publicly and said that it was thousands of years. This conductor had come in years after the WTS has used the 7,000 year creative teaching. Everybody was counseled to get a new book.

Sorry, I can't edit my posts.

We had a congregation overseer that had been a practicing alcoholic for years and was finally removed after years of getting DWI tickets, losing his license, etc. A common sin that elders cover over for each other.

    Ah! Such Wonder!

The POPCORN industry must love the 'Dubs!

Maybe an angel whispered "If you love a date, set it free..."

This reminds me of Rutherford's "An Altar in Egypt" article in which he shot down Pastor Russell's love of the Giza Pyramid. I would not be surprised if the Study Article made reference to this progressive light theory.

Once the WTB&TS knocks the pins from under 607 BCE, 1914 will float up into the air like a red circus balloon.

I suspect that the Author here gave the WT Writing Dept some good shit to dwell on.

Whilst some in the past have clung to dates such as 607 BCE

What "some"??? You mean the GB and WT writers right? No JW is allowed to make their own dates up, so change it to saying, "While the Governing Body and presidents of the watchtower society have CURRENTLY AND IN THE PAST clung to dates" you arrogant narcissistic asses
