I don`t know that its so surprising blondie when you think about it ,when GOD /Jehovah in the old Testament was so obsessed him/her self with Gold /precious gems that he/she desired in the worship of him/her in his/her Temple.
Maybe GOD/ JEHOVAH didn`t foresee the value that Crude Oil would play in later centuries .?
