Hey Mouthy next time you talk to her tell her Hi from Arizona. That's my old stompin' grounds!

I was born in St. Joe (Missouri Methodist was the closest hospital though my family lived in KS at the time) and grew up about 25 miles west of there on highway 36 (for those of you familiar with the area), though it wasn't til after I was married that hubby and then I joined the JWs.

I know we visited that congregation...she was df'd around the time hubby started studying...what a small world.

    Tell her Hi from us!

Hi Grace, It sounds like you are describing Grace who pioneered, knew Rutherford, was a member of the first Gilead class, and was a missionary. She used to call me but I have not heard from her for years. I have wondered how she is doing. I offered several times to bring my wife and visit her and she always declined. We used to drive right by St Joe every time we went south. She had an incredibly interesting story. She ate popcorn to pioneer and one reason she went to Gilead was to get decent meals. This was during the time when Rutherford drove new Cadillacs while his book distributors ate popcorn to survive.

I'm glad she is okay. It sounds like she is open to visits now. Thanks for the update. GaryB
