Yes.. Thanks. I was wondering if the 13 million were set or the amount could be reduced in appeal. -

Looks like the oral argument is set for Feb 11, 2016.

Looks like Feb 11, 2016 is the day for the oral argument. I'm hoping the judgement stands and the WT gets exposed even more for their horrible policy's.

Was Lopez molested while in field service, or a similar activity? If so, was the congregation negligent in letting him be alone with a known pedophile? If so, then he wins the case hands down I'd think, based upon the precedent set by Conti.

As I recall only his mother was a JW and as such was considered a "fatherless boy" and his molester was assigned to study with him and generally look out for his "spiritual well-being." They put his abuser in a position of trust, so it really doesn't matter where specifically the abuse occurred.

No, the appellant's request to continue oral argument has been denied. It appears like the appeal hearing is going ahead, not oral arguments.

I thought it was the oral argument happening on Feb 11? I could be wrong but what I read was the appellant tried to continue( postpone) the oral review and was denied, so on it goes.
