The child abuse case situation getting bigger and bigger the whole time. It's probably gonna be spreading over all states. How are JWs gonna go door 2 door in such situation? Are they gonna tell people it's just apostate lies? Plus getting celebrity's ( like Serena) into org must have given watchtower headache. If she Twitters something about Jehovas witness. Her followers maeby gonna goggle Jehovas witness. The first thing they gonna find is ex jw material. Internet was the end of watchtower

Watchtower's squeaky clean image has been exposed as a bunch of dirt bags. No matter how many times they paint and polish it, it's still a big turd.

I see what you’re saying, but if the number of Witnesses continues to decrease (which I don’t think can be avoided), they will have to make do with what’s there. Who knows? Maybe their doctrine will change. Haven’t they made other changes over time?

The older JWs will inevitably pass away, not to mention PIMO family members who stop going because there’s no reason to fake it anymore. The religion will then be a shadow of its former self.

Maybe it’s more than a few years. Who knows exactly when this will happen and what the religion/organization will do to stay afloat? Who knows what form the amoeba will take? It should be interesting to see for whoever is around to witness this.

Yeah, they could change their doctrine if they shrink considerably. For example, they could apply to themselves the passage about the love of the greater number cooling off and say they are just beginning to realize how great that number is. They could say they're paralleling the flood situation in which only a handful of people survived out of the whole population.

We know they change their doctrine to fit the situation. For example, we saw them change the "generation" doctrine in 1995 after the previous one was shown to be wrong.

They've been known to do 'doctrinal' changes and sliding into subtly like the generation in 1995 & gloss things over.

Awhile ago, the Worldwide Church of God split into 2 parts because a disagreement of core teachings. They still exist for in a smaller form. Very deep, arduous read. Well researched, a great buy.. Many ''cults'' are discussed in this book,,,not going to name any.

Something has to give very very soon because generation has lost significant meaning. Remember when JW were viewed as lunatics because of the blood doctrine. I also remember Dr. Ruth Westhimmer on the radio giving dangerous advice as innocuous or not very risky—- but then all of a sudden HIV hit and JW were vindicated. I remember Howard Stern say on his show: I am JW, man. There is an intense feeling at the moment that something is going to happen. But who knows 108 years later and so many date changes as you point out.
