I hate manipulative assholes.
Yeah, it's all about the dollars...or rubles in this case. There is property and assets at stake.
I mean, they went for years under ban in the Soviet Union and it didn't STOP their activity.
Like I told my wife, it's just stuff. We can't take it with us anyway right?
Thing is, if you look at the Russian laws on hate speech and extremist groups, JWs fit the bill.
Also don't forget how many hours can be counted writing these letters...making the numbers look good

An extremist government using extremist tactics against an extremist group known for its extremist views.
The pretzel-twist degree of irony is not lost on us (but it is making me dizzy).
Is Russia an extremist government?
There is wide spread corruption in it, certainly, but I am not sure where it falls on the extremist scale.
Ever been to Mexico and had dealings with the federales? Are they extreme?

Maybe my eyesight is bad....again, why put them on danger....oh, I forget, JW's love to look pious...
Illegal missionary work serves a purpose. It a conduit for money movement.

You nailed it!
Potential loss of assets - that's the difference between Russia & [any of the "30 or so lands where the work of JWs is restricted" as indicated at the end of the Yearbook reports].
Follow the money . . .
