    "Yes!!!! For a real change of pace, how about a TMS session where 3 or 4 talks are given ON THE SAME SUBJECT from source material from DIFFERENT DECADES??? Now, that might be interesting enough to attend...

    Some Apostafest ought to do this for a lark:

    1) Select an experienced School Servant;

    2) Design a TMS meeting schedule, with talks all on the same subject, but RESTRICTED to different decades of source literature; that includes "secular sources" (non-WTS ), i.e. encyclopedias, newspapers and so forth;

    3) Assign several members to develop a part, using your old skills;

    4) The "Sound Servant" will be responsible for microphone(s), mixers, CamCorder, kINGDOM mELDOIES(tm) (or Merry Melodies, for that matter), lighting and any other stage effects needed;

    5) A "brother" familiar with or perhaps even one who has directed the pre-assembly meetings for rehearsal of parts could step in and orchestrate this proceeding;

    6) As indicated above, this operation should be video-taped, with a view to distribution;

    7) One serious session could be done, to illustrate the vagaries and meandering of the religion over the years, and another goofy-loony version could be done, as well;

    8) Another session could be done (this one in all seriousness) of the "Service Meeting": use KM's and even Informant's for the parts; (when did the S-Meetings really start? the 30's w/ Da Judge, right? perhaps some of the old "KM equivalents" from those days of yester-year could be found and used!!!)

    9) Technically, this is PART OF YOUR WORSHIP: even though you are no longer a JW, you still have a right to a religion; that holds even if you have become an atheist. If you feel like doing this and if it is helpful for your withdrawal or necessary for you moving on with life, it is all the more a part of your PERSONAL RELIGION. Your PERSONAL RELIGION may be defined by whatever boundaries YOU SET and it may not match any other religion in existence. That holds even if YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT BELIEVES EXACTLY AS YOU DO. That cannot be taken away from you: just ask the US Constitution, Bill of Rights and that august body of those laws. Many other countries have something close to this, it seems.

    10)What to do with the recordings is left as an exercise for the reader...

    I can't think of anything MORE RELIGIOUS than the healing process from a life of religious oppression.

    Great idea!

    Four different talks, four different decades, four different conclusions; and yet all of them "bible based" . Heh heh. I love it.

    This would be especially confusing to Bro/Elder D. Evans, who insisted (and drilled into us at a service mtg): "We do not interpret the bible, the bible interprets itself". So I guess the above exercise would show the bible interpreting itself four different ways! Cool.

    I think that this is a brilliant idea. I'm tryong to get reinstated at the minute, so if i do so I will make sure that if I'm ever given a talk I will use the 'Old light' to give the point from the bible so the the school overseer will have to correct me, ha ha. That might show a few people whether or not he truth comes from the bibel.
