In my place of business, we were dealing with a guy, who in my opinion is a complete idiot. Pain in the ass customer, but finally he purchased, and we are done with him.

During this time, I came to find out that he is a witness. I told him," Oh yeah, I grew up as one." He asked me if I still attended the meetings and all, and I told him no. I was not going to get into why I don't, at least not until our deal was finished. I would rather have his money than blast him about the WTS, at least until it was all over.

I was puzzled, because this guy did not act nor look like your typical witness. His mannerisms, dress, etc did not represent anything typical of witnesses.

Yesterday, while I was working, I walked outside, and sure enough, there was the customer in full suit and book bag, along with a 10 year old boy, and another witness guy. I had to take a double look I was so shocked. What nerve! To come to my place of business and preach to my employees? He stood there and preached to several of my guys.

After he left, I told them about the cult of the WTS. The six spanish magazines found there way to the trash right away.

It just wasn't worth my time to say anything to the guy this time around.

Can you believe that guy??? Perhaps he's decided that although you are probably an apostate, saving your employees from evil influence will be doubly blessed by Jehovah or some such. Or perhaps he's trying to show you an example as a great Witness and try to shame you back to the org. Fat chance!

What an ass&^%)(. Weren't we told not to interupt employees because that would be stealing time from their employer. I think you should call law enforcement, or better yet, on your business letterhead write to the WTS and suggest that they pay your employees wages for the time the Jws are around. What a bunch of hypocrits! That guy just found a place for some easy service time. Jerks.

It was so funny at one point, when I told this guy that I grew up as a witness, he told me that I should hurry back as the end was coming soon. "There is not much time left!" he told me.

I am in a tough spot. I am a businessman, and have had witnesses as customers. I want to continue a good business. The second I admit to being what they call an "apostate", as much fun as it would be to blast the religion to this guy or others, I must admit I would rather have these guys as customers. You know the word would spread real quick not to come to my place of business, for the owner is an apostate.

freedom, I definitely understand that, and I applaud your ability to keep it MUM. They would probably start making up stories about you being demonized or something. Dubs just cannot believe anyone would just walk away from the borg and be just another fine human being.

agree freedom, stay on good terms. and do not tell himhow u really feel. Perhaps u could politely talk to him and let him know that religious discussion is not allowed at the business place. Or do u have a superior who could do it?

All the more reason to go start a business that will never bother you with JWs as clients or suppliers, like say, a tobacconist's...

He violated one of the written rules of working business territory. When I was still attending, I worked a great deal of business territory. If he talked to your employees without getting your permission, I would call the local congregation and let the PO know.

September 1996 KM p. 5 Preach the Good News Everywhere

When working from store to store, dress as you would if you were attending a meeting at the Kingdom Hall. If possible, enter the store when there are no customers waiting to be served. Ask to speak to the manager or to the person in charge.

If there are employees, and it seems appropriate, you might add: "Would you mind if I gave the same brief presentation to your employees?" If permission is granted, remember you have promised to be brief, and the manager will expect you to keep your word. If any employees wish to enter into a long discussion, it would be best to call on them at their home.

To add to Blondie's KM.At other places such as Airports etc.Religious Organization must sign in and let the authority know that they will be on the premises talking to people and selling literature, err, placing it,sorry for saying selling it.If you like to make a contribution for the w w w,no not the internet, the world wide work of Jehovah's printing empire,we would gladly accept.

This is called Theocratic warefare, isn't it?? Sinister
Truthfully, I wouldn't tell them either. They may at some point come right out and ask you if you were ever baptised and if you are attending any other church. At that point you may have to come up with some evasion techniques. Good luck, hey bidness is bidness as Shrub would say.
